  Chapter One

Dale had never met anyone like Mandy. She worked for his dad, and was so fucking fiery that just being in her company for a few minutes was enough to have him hard as a freaking rock. She didn’t have a filter, and she called him on his shit. Not to mention she wasn’t some young hot ass intent on fucking the entire club. No, Mandy was a woman who demanded respect, and he’d nearly fucked it up with her, and now he was having to pay the price. He hadn’t fucked another woman, but she had caught him dancing with one.

He’d been an asshole to Mandy, yelling she had no right to think just because he’d fucked her pussy she had a right to him. Mandy laughed in his face and walked off. Since then, he couldn’t get a single conversation out of her. Not even a hello.

She slept with him, would fuck his brains out until he couldn’t think, but every single morning, she was gone, and she’d act like she hadn’t been riding his dick the night before. It drove him crazy.

There were no other women, and he couldn’t think of how to get Mandy to go back to being the one who laughed with him, hung out, and was this fun-loving woman.

“What are you doing here?” Doc, his father and president of the Nowhere Men MC, asked.

“I’m looking for Mandy. Where is she?”

“She’s gone shopping for the afternoon with Jo.”

“Are you fucking kidding me?” He dropped the flowers onto the desk. A couple of the petals fell off, and he growled, not interested one little bit.

“Is that a problem? Was Mandy supposed to be meeting you or something?”

He glared at his father. He hadn’t asked Doc for any help in years, not since his first girlfriend gave him the cold shoulder in kindergarten. This was one of the many reasons why he tried to avoid having anything to do with women. They were a mystery he rarely wanted to involve himself with. He was happy being kept in the dark.

There were plenty of club sluts willing to ride him and suck him off; only none of them appealed to him now.

It was like Mandy had fucked the blindfold right off his face. Now when he saw one of the club women, he couldn’t help but wonder who’d she’d been with minutes or hours before.

“Don’t worry about it. We weren’t supposed to be doing anything. It’s fine.”

  “You don’t look okay.”

  “How do you do it?”

  “How do I do what?”

“Keep up with Jo? I know she’s nothing like Mandy, but I can’t seem to get a grip on that woman!” He left the flowers, heading toward the door.

“This thing with Mandy, it serious?”

“Of course it freaking is, why?”

“Does Mandy know you’re serious?” Doc asked.

Dale gritted his teeth. “No. I keep trying to peg her down, but she’s always doing something. Unless she wants me to scratch an itch, she has no use for me.”

“Do you want her to have a use for you?”

“What are you trying to get at?”

“The flowers. I believe yesterday it was chocolates. The day before, it was a bracelet. She sent it back, in case you were wondering.”

  Dale cursed.

“Son, you need to talk with me.” Doc sat down.

“Who is she shopping with again?”

“Seriously, you’re stalling. Jo, who else would she be with?”

  “I don’t know. Another guy.”

Doc laughed. “She’s a free spirit, but I don’t think she crosses the line of best friends shopping. You never come between a woman and spending money.”

“I fucked up with her, Dad. I was dancing with Casey, and she was there, watching. It was just some harmless dancing. I had no intention of fucking the woman. I hated the way Mandy looked at me, all betrayed and shit. I told her she had to get her shit together, no one was going to hold me down.”

  Doc winced. “Oh, dear.”

“Yeah, since then unless we’re fucking, she has nothing else to do with me.” He ran a hand down his face. “What do I do to make her care? To make her want me? I don’t know what else to do.”

“And all you’ve done is send gifts, and given her sex whenever she wanted it?”

  “Yes.”

“I thought I raised an intelligent boy.”

  “Dad!”

“Look, I can’t tell you how to win Mandy. I’m not the one who wants her. Now if you were to ask with Jo, I’d know, and no, I’m not going to tell you. This is for you to work out. Think about Mandy. What do you know about her?”

Dale frowned. He wasn’t about to tell his father how she liked her hair being brushed, or him washing her in the bath. She even loved it when he read to her, or sang.

“You have an idea, and I don’t need to know. Believe me. You’ve got to think of one of the things you know about her, what will make her take notice of you. What will make her stop treating you coldly,” Doc said.

  “You think it would work?”

“Son, what have you got to lose?”

  “Nothing.”

“Exactly. Besides, coming here with roses going straight to the trash, gifts sent back, and chocolates handed out to the brothers, are not doing any wonders for your reputation.” Doc slapped his knee. “I’ll let you think it over.”

As if on cue, Mandy entered the office. She carried several large bags.

“Hello,” she said. “Jo has got a lot of sexy things to show you when you’ve got some time. You’re not due to work on any machines this afternoon. She’s at home, and she’s horny.”

  Mandy burst out laughing.

The sound died as soon as she caught sight of him.

Dale stood up, running fingers through his hair. He wasn’t going to give up.

  ****

No matter where she turned, Dale was there.

Mandy put her purchases in the corner away from any potential grease threats, pushed some hair off her face, and smiled into the room. She was getting tired of him showing up whenever she didn’t want him to. Wasn’t there one place she could catch a break from this guy?

  “Dale,” she said.

  “Mandy.”

“I’m going to go and be with my woman. I’ll leave you two to handle whatever it is going on with you,” Doc said.

She had already been given a warning by Doc not to hurt his son. As if she could hurt Dale. Please, the man didn’t know the meaning of the word “feelings.” He did what he wanted, without a care in the world for anyone else.

Folding her arms, she stared at him, waiting.

“What do you want?” she asked.

  “I brought you flowers.”

She stared down at them and sighed. Chocolate, jewelry, and now flowers. “Thank you.” What would be next? A puppy? She wouldn’t mind a puppy actually.

Puppies didn’t break your heart or dance with other women like they wanted to fuck them.

“I want to take you o
ut.”

  “I’m busy.”

“You don’t know when I want to take you out.”

“Dale, we don’t have to do this.”

  “Yes, we do.”

“I don’t want to go out, you do, and it’s not going to work. Whatever you’ve got planned or are hoping for, please, don’t lay that on me.” She had to distance herself from this man.

  They had sex regularly.

It was mind-blowing. The best sex she’d ever experienced. But there was also a teeny, tiny problem that no one knew about. She’d fallen hard for Dale, and when he’d yelled at her, telling her she was just a fuck, well, she wasn’t going to be giving this man her heart any time soon.

She didn’t like to be yelled at, ever, by anyone, least of all by a man she truly thought there could have been a real connection with.

“Look, I know I fucked up with you, but I want you to give me a chance,” Dale said.

She looked past his shoulder to the wall. The picture behind him showed the perfect family.

Every time she came to work, it always felt like the picture mocked her because she’d never have that. She’d never have the perfect family. No husband or kids for her.

She could have kids, but first she had to find a man who would put up with her sass and keep on coming back for more. She’d dated quite a few men, and of course, none of them could put up with her. They wanted a lady.

  A sweetheart.

  Someone gentle.

  She wasn’t just gentle though.

She called anyone out on their crap.

There was no way they would be getting away with that kind of shit, not on her watch. So she didn’t make life easy, but hello, not only was she damn good in the sack, but she was loyal as fuck.

Anyone in town she heard talking shit about the Nowhere Men MC, they had to deal with her.

She adored Doc, and since he was now married to her best friend, well, her loyalty was cemented, which was much more than Jo’s ex would have ever gotten from her. Mandy’s loyalty came with terms and conditions, and one of them was not to treat her best friend like a piece of crap.

  “What do you want, Dale?”

“To take you out on a date.”

  “That’s all?”

“Yes. One date. You and me.”

  “We’ve been on one date.”

“And the next week I fucked up. I was angry, okay, but not at you. I was scared.”

“What could you have possibly been afraid of?” she asked.

“I like you a lot. The date, I’d never been on one, and it was amazing. We didn’t even have sex that first night, remember?”

“I do. You kissed me and told me goodnight.”

“Exactly. It took me having to hurt you for you to have sex with me.”

“I don’t want to date,” she said. Her past nerves and pain were coming back. “I’m sorry. We had a great first date, a terrible second experience, and well, I don’t want to go through that again.”

“I won’t put you through that. You’ve got to give me a chance.”

“Why? Why do I have to give you a chance? I did. You asked me to go on a date. Against my better judgment, I went on said date and look what happened.” She dropped her hands by her sides. “I’m not going to do this with you, Dale.”

“But fucking is more than fine with you?” he asked.

She didn’t know what to say. It made her sound like a slut, but what made it any different than what he did with most of the club women? The women he was more than happy to fuck on a regular basis.

“I don’t want to do this, Dale. We tried the dating, and it didn’t work.”

“It did work, and you know it. One day, you’re going to realize we could have been something incredible.” He stepped up to her, but she didn’t back down.

Not on her life would she ever back down from a man.

Dale was so close, and he smelled like leather, oil, and spice. For Mandy, it was a heady combination.

She felt an answering pull in her pussy. The need was there, sparking to life, wanting to take hold. She stayed perfectly still even as she wanted to wrap her arms around the man, and kiss him hard. To tell him yes.

Her heart, she had to protect it. She had no choice but to hold this fight within her.

“You think I don’t see your fight, Mandy? I’m not going to give up easily on this. When I want something, I go after it.”

“You can fight me all you want, Dale. It’s not going to change what is.”

“We’ll see.” He pressed his lips against her cheek. “This is going to be fun.”

  Chapter Two

  Dale was a man.

  He wasn’t dead.

By the end of his day, he didn’t go home or to the clubhouse.

No, he took a nice little detour to Mandy’s house.

He knocked on the door. He’d intended to make her wait, to have her so desperate for him, she’d give in and go on this fucking date with him. It was important he got her to go on a date. Not for any kind of bet, but because he knew he’d fucked up big time with her.

She opened the door in her pajamas. It wasn’t like anything really happened in End Valley, but he didn’t like her opening doors to potential strangers.

“What are you doing here?” she asked. Her long hair was pinned up, and she had a tub of what looked like vanilla ice cream in her hands.

  “I’m here to see you.”

  “Why?”

  “You know why.”

He stepped into her house, and she had no choice but to back away. He closed the door, flicking the locks into place before removing his leather cut and joining it with hers on the peg beside the door.

“You think you can just walk in here and do what you want?”

The television was playing in the background, the sound on low.

He kicked off his boots, and she didn’t move, simply held the ice cream in her hands. He found it fascinating that out of all of the flavors she could pick from, she always went for vanilla. She hated strawberry. Chocolate was only okay for her, and she found mint ice cream a little overpowering.

Oh, he’d listened to her talk.

She stepped into the living room, and he zoomed in on her.

His shirt was gone next, followed by his jeans. He never wore any boxers, and as he reached for her, he was completely naked.

Her gaze traveled down his body before going back up to his face. She licked those plump lips, and damn, it went straight to his cock.

“What are you doing?” she asked.

  “You know what I’m doing.”

He picked her up, carrying her through to the living room. She didn’t have a coffee table, and as he put her down on the floor, he gathered up a bunch of her pillows. She loved her pillows.

Taking the ice cream from her, he stripped her out of her cute pajamas. Tilting her head back, he claimed her lips, feeling her moan.

With each layer gone, the Mandy he’d come to really fucking crave was back.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her body against his.

Sliding his hands down her back, he cupped her ass tight before moving her toward the pillows on the floor.

He helped her to the floor and moved between her spread thighs.

Reaching for the ice cream, he took a taste of the cold vanilla. Some of it had already melted, and he did no more than let the liquid slide off the spoon and onto her waiting stomach.

She let out a gasp, and he smirked before following the trail of the ice cream with his tongue, licking it right up. He drizzled some over her nipple and teased her before moving onto her body and playing with her.

She moaned, gasped, but didn’t fight him.

This was how he enjoyed her—when she was ready to take his cock, and more willing to listen to him.

This was the only time he could reach her, and he had to take advantage of the moment.

She reached for the ice cream after he’d nibbled on her thigh. “My t
urn.”

  “This is about you.”

“And I like to play as well. You know that. My turn before you eat all my ice cream.”

He wanted her tongue on him more than anything.

She knelt on the floor as he settled on the pillows.

“You want to lick my body, you go right ahead. Not a part of myself is off limits to you,” he said.

He put his hands above his head, giving her unlimited access to him.

She drizzled some vanilla on his stomach.

It was a little cold, but he closed his eyes as she worked enjoying it and him. Mandy wasn’t one to hurry, and as she worked down his body, he knew what was coming before she’d even done it.

His cock stood up, tall, hard, and proud.

He gritted his teeth as the cold hit his cock. It wasn’t ice-cold, which wouldn’t have done wonders for his erection.

She put the ice cream down as her mouth followed his cock. She took him to the back of her throat, and he felt her swallow. She was so fucking hot when she did this. He couldn’t think. She pulled up, and licked around the base of his cock before sucking his balls into her mouth.

He’d gotten into the habit of waxing his hairs. He loved Mandy’s tongue on every single part of his dick, and pubic hair got in the way.

Mandy had done the same for him, and he knew she kept up her appointments at the spa to remove her pubic hair and keep herself nice and smooth just for him.

When he couldn’t take another moment, he reached for her, making her straddle his dick. She cupped him and placed the tip at her entrance.

She let out a moan as she sank onto his length, and it felt so fucking good to be inside her. There was no way he could even look at another woman. Not when he had Mandy. She was fire, ice, and everything in between.

He’d tried to walk away, and it hadn’t worked. Nothing would ever work, because his feelings for her were right there for her to see, if she would just let him.
