“Thanks for the ride.”
Her heart was pounding, and she wanted to climb back on and do it all again. She’d never had so much excitement in one night.
“We can do this again sometime,” he said.
“Sure.” She handed him back the helmet. “I’ll see you tomorrow at work if you haven’t moved on by then.”
“I won’t be moving on. I’ve got shit I want before then.”
His gaze traveled up and down her body.
“I hope you get what you’re looking for.”
“I’m sure I will.” His gaze was focused on hers.
The heat was not something she could deny.
“See you tomorrow.” Turning away from him, she headed inside. For once she was looking forward to tomorrow.
Chapter Two
The hotel Cole stayed in was not half bad. His funds were not entirely depleted, and he could afford the hotel along with the repairs needed for his bike. During the morning, he put his bike into the shop so he could have it by the evening. He gave the mechanic the last of his money and knew he’d need more this evening.
There was nothing else for him to do other than wait and work. The women he passed didn’t interest him, and the only pussy he wanted was Sandy’s. For the first time in his life he was waiting for work. He wasn’t interested in anything else. Spending the day in his hotel room, he watched some television and had a wash.
By six o’clock he was more than ready to get to work. He picked his bike up listening to what the mechanic had to say. There were still some repairs that would have to wait until he got more money, and he said as much to the guy.
“No problem. When you’re ready for the work to be done give us a call and I’ll get you booked in.”
Cole didn’t own a phone. There was no need for one when he was on the road all the time. He’d simply drop the bike off when he was ready, or he could use the phone in the hotel room he was staying at. Entering the bar he saw it was only just getting busy. There were a few customers dotted around the bar. Sandy was nowhere to be seen, but Trey was serving a customer.
“Put your stuff in the office and then come and help out. Sandy is doing a quick stock take of our stuff,” Trey said.
He placed his helmet in the office, nodding at Rick who was on the phone. The other man waved at him but kept talking.
It was another hour until his shift actually began, and he went in search of the woman who’d invaded his thoughts. He found her in such a compromising position. She was bent over a crate counting.
He admired the curve of her ass, and his cock thickened at the sight before him.
“Now that is a sight I could get used to,” he said, leaning up against the doorframe. She didn’t jerk up and scold him. Sandy looked over her shoulder shooting a green glare at him.
“And you’re used to getting what you want?”
“More than you realize.” He’d gladly take her like that, ramming his cock deep into her sopping cunt.
“Well, you’re going to have to get used to earning what you want.” She returned her attention back to counting.
Taking a step closer, he reached out and ran a hand over the curve of her ass. He wasn’t going to be the gentleman and wait for her to come to him. Cole didn’t have the time or patience to wait for what he wanted. In his life when he wanted a woman, he took her.
She froze beneath his touch. He’d never forced a woman, and if she didn’t want his attention then he’d back off.
“I can earn a hell of a lot more given half the chance.” He cupped her ass with his hands then moved up to grip her hips.
“What do you think you’re doing?” she asked. She sounded breathless to him.
“I’m touching what I want. Your ass is so fucking tempting.” When she didn’t push him away, he cupped her pussy through her jeans. There was no mistaking the heat from her pussy. She was burning his hand with her heat. “I want you, Sandy.”
“You don’t even know me.”
“Do you think everyone needs to know each other to want to fuck?”
Sandy stood up abruptly, turning to him. “I think some men assume too much.” She folded her arms over her chest.
“You’re not hot for me right now?” he asked, reaching out to grip her ass. Cole drew her closer. His cock pressed to her front. He was rock hard and ready to fuck.
She gasped but didn’t push him away. Everything about her was interesting, including her response to him. Cole moved her backward until she was pressed against the wall.
“You do move fast, don’t you?” she asked.
“You’re not pushing me away, Sandy. You don’t want this then simply push me away and stop me.” He cupped her hip waiting for her to push him away.
After a minute she still hadn’t shoved him.
“I take it you want this as much as I do.”
She shook her head.
“Then fight me, Sandy. Push me away. I’m not a monster or a rapist. You don’t want me, then tell me.”
He saw her grit her teeth.
“This is not right.”
“Why? Who told you this wasn’t right? Your mother? Father? Teacher? What you think is right or what they want you to think is right?” He fired the questions at her. She was a smart woman; she’d figure it out.
“What are you hoping to achieve?” she asked.
“Tell me you want me to stop because you think this is not right and not because you think you have to wait around until we know each other longer.” Cole ran a hand down her body, grazing her nipple on his descent to cup her pussy. He pushed his hand into her jeans to feel her wet heat swamp his fingers. “There we go, baby. You want me, don’t you?”
Pressing kisses to her neck, he looked up waiting to see what she’d do. She gripped his arms but still didn’t push him away.
Come on, give in to what you want. Don’t do what you think others will want you to do.
He didn’t know how desperate he was for her to break through.
The fight was going on inside her. Her nails sank into his shoulders. He felt the pinch through his shirt.
“Do you want it, baby?”
“Yes, I want you, please,” she said.
Lifting her up, he claimed her lips, slamming his tongue deep into her mouth. He ravished her mouth, loving the softness of her curves melt against him.
Running a hand up her shirt, he grazed over her nipple feeling it bud.
“Sandy, we need you out—”
She pulled away from him at the sound of Trey’s voice.
“I’m coming,” she said. “He’s gone, but he doesn’t look happy. Please, put me down.”
He lowered her to the ground, cupping her cheek to tilt her head back. “This isn’t over,” he said.
“I know.” She went on her toes and pressed a kiss to his lips. “But there’s no more time now. I’ve got to go and work.”
Cole didn’t release her.
“You’ve got to let me go.”
He hated those words. “Tonight, after work, your ass is mine.”
“My ass stays mine. Don’t think for one second that you own me. We’re two different people, and I will not hold you to anything, and I don’t expect you to hold me to anything.” She stepped away from him.
Turning, he watched her go.
The moment she left Trey entered the room. His arms were folded over his chest. “You sure move fast.”
“What do you want? You tapping her or something?” Cole moved closer. Years on the open road had hardened him to life. To make money he’d fought in illegal fights, passed drugs for some quick cash, and even donated his sperm. There had been a couple of women along the way who offered to pay for his cock. He wasn’t ashamed of taking the money. His bike and dick both needed servicing regularly. Providing he kept his dick protected and he took regular checkups at the hospitals, he was more than happy with his life.
Settling down wasn’t something he was ever going to do. He liked the freedom to mov
e around.
“No, I’m not tapping her. She’s been working here since she was eighteen and got kicked out of her home. Rick and I have known her for a long time. She’s not some whore you fuck and dump.” Trey glared at him. He looked every part the protective brother.
“I’m not going to start giving her promises I don’t intend to keep.” Folding his arms, Cole stared at the other man measuring up if he could take him.
Something in his gut told him Trey and Rick may seem friendly, but both men never played fair in a fight.
“We don’t get involved with what she does. No one can tame Sandy. Some men look at her and think she’s this straitlaced woman who doesn’t want anything out of life but kids. She’s not like that. What I don’t want is for you to break a part of her.” Trey held his hands up. “Don’t hurt her and we’re all good. I’ve got no problem with you having your fun.”
“Just don’t go telling her shit that won’t come true?” Cole didn’t intend for the question to be answered.
“Then we’re all good.” Trey spun away and left the room.
Seconds passed, and Cole picked up the first crate filled with bottles of beer.
“My brother may be happy with you screwing around with Sandy, but I’m not. You treat her good or you leave her the fuck alone,” Rick said.
Nodding at the other man, he headed out of the storeroom to start his shift.
****
You’re so fucking stupid.
Even as Sandy smiled at customers, got them their orders, and rang up their change she was conscious of the women flirting with Cole. He took the other end of the bar, and only every so often did their paths cross. She sensed his presence like a second skin. Standing at the till she typed in the amount and almost screamed as he gripped her hip. Each brush of skin reminded her of his touch in the store room.
Trey and Rick had tried to get her alone. She imagined both men were going to warn her away. The bar had been busy, busier than ever before, giving her an excuse to put off their attitude. Ever since her parents kicked her out after graduation Trey and Rick had taken on the role as her protectors. She didn’t need protecting. Her grandmother, before she died, had made sure she was protected.
As Sandy was growing up, her grandmother was the only person in her life to accept her like she was. If she wanted a dog, her grandmother would simply go out and buy her a dog. Her parents, on the other hand, would try to persuade her to have a cat. She wanted to study drama while her parents wanted her to become a musician. Over the years it was all she knew, and her grandmother’s became the place she went to in order to get away. From a young age her grandmother had been working the stock markets, which became Sandy’s inheritance before she graduated high school.
Sandy believed her grandmother was a little like her, being forced to do something she hated rather than what she loved. What Sandy wanted didn’t matter as her parents wanted her to do the opposite. After graduation they were being more controlling over the college, the tuition, where she would stay, the sororities they wanted her to be part of. It was all too much. They’d gone out one night, and without thinking about what she was doing, Sandy brought two jocks from her high school home. She remembered the night clearly, the fucking and sharing between two men.
Being caught by her parents was the best thing that ever actually happened to her. The guys didn’t say a word about what happened, but her parents kicked her out and she was able to do whatever the hell she wanted with her future. No one controlled her but her.
Entering the store room she picked up three bottles of scotch ready to take them back to the bar.
“Do you know what you’re doing?” Rick asked.
Turning toward him she saw the concern in his eyes.
“No, I don’t have a clue what I’m doing.” She shrugged, looking past his shoulder. “Does it really matter what I’m doing? I’m not hurting anyone.”
“What happens when he hurts you?”
She chuckled. There had been more men in the last two years coming in crying because she broke up with them than the other way around. Sandy was not desperate for attention, and she never had been.
“Do you really think that’s going to happen? I’ve come to work more often angry because a guy won’t stop bugging me.”
“I get it, Sandy, you’re not like most women. They cling, and they demand attention, but this could be the one man who leaves you in tears. He’s a drifter while half of the men in your life have not been. Cole will leave.”
The only emotion to strike her was jealousy. Why did he get to leave while she had to stay at home?
Shaking her head, she took a step toward him. “I know you’re worried. Don’t try and push other women’s insecurities on me. I’m not like them. I’ll never be like this. This is me, and I don’t do commitment. If I fuck Cole it’s not going to have anything to do with you or your brother. I don’t get involved in your relationships. I ask for the same kind of courtesy.”
“If you think that’s what you want.”
“I don’t think it. I know it.” She passed him feeling bad for the way she treated him. Stopping, she glanced back at him. “I appreciate you caring about me. Really, I do, but this is not for you to be worried about.”
“We both care about you, kid.”
“I’m not a kid.” She chuckled, leaving the room to help behind the bar. Several of the guys she served, she also had classes with.
“How can you be working when you’ve got a paper to write?” David asked. They studied English together.
“I could ask how you’re drinking when you’ve got the same.”
David shook his head. “I hate English. What’s your excuse?”
Cole stood behind her. “She’s taken.”
Gritting her teeth she stared at David as he gazed over her shoulder at Cole. Was she suddenly invisible?
Annoyed and pissed, she shoved at Cole.
“Ignore him, he’s new.” She gave David his change, wiping her hand on the towel.
“No problem. You’re taken, I can see that. I wasn’t flirting with you, honey.” David waved her off and left the bar.
Hating Cole’s interference she spent the rest of the night ignoring him. Rick and Trey kept their opinions to themselves, which she was thankful for. If they were going to start warning her about Cole, she’d snap. Grabbing her bag, she told them she’d see them the following morning before leaving the bar. Cole was waiting by the bar, but she didn’t acknowledge him.
“Are you going to go running now it’s time?” he asked.
Spinning on her heel when they were outside, she stabbed her finger against his chest. “I do not need to talk to you to fuck you. You still want to do this, then take me back to my place. You don’t, then leave. I’m not in the mood for dealing with crap.” She stormed over to his bike, grabbing the helmet.
“What the fuck is your problem?”
“You’re my problem. Take me home, or leave me to get a lift off Trey. I’m not in the mood for possessive crap.”
He stared at her for several minutes, watching her. Cole made the first move, straddling his bike. She climbed on the back, wrapping her arms around his waist. The drive went by without her paying any attention to the passing scenery. The city always looked the same to her.
All she could think about was the feel of his hand down her jeans. She needed to get this man out of her system. For as long as she could remember she’d never been the kind of girl in desperate need of marriage or settling down. Growing up around girls who were looking forward to getting married had caused a few problems. She rarely had any friends, and those she did have, tried to change her.
Everyone was always trying to change her. She hated it. Why couldn’t anyone be happy with the way she was? Pushing the negative thoughts aside, she concentrated on keeping her arms wrapped around Cole’s waist.
Within minutes he was parking his bike, and she climbed off.
“There’s a parking bay around the back.

Sandy waited while he parked the bike, wondering about what she was doing.
Cole rounded the building seconds later looking every bit as irresistible as he’d been in the store room. She didn’t know why she wanted him. He was a heartbreaker, that was for sure.
He’s a heartbreaker for ordinary women.
She’d not been in a relationship at all.
“Are you ready?” he asked.
“Sure, come on.” Typing in the code, she opened the door waiting for him to follow behind. She took the stairs like she always did. Being a size sixteen she liked taking the stairs when she could. The one thing she did love doing was cooking. With cooking came eating, and with eating came weight gain. Either way, she was taking the stairs to help her come to her senses.
On the third floor she moved to the end of the hall where her place was. Cole took the key from her, placing it in the hole. His body curved around hers. She closed her eyes, gasping as he sucked on her neck.
“Open the door,” she said.
“I will. Push your ass back.”
She did as he asked and felt the evidence of how happy he was for her to be pressed against him.
“I can’t wait to get you naked. I’m going to spend the whole night fucking you.”
“I hope that’s a promise you can keep up with.” Covering his hand, she turned the key and opened the door.
Sandy slammed the door closed, pushing him up against the wood. Tearing at his leather jacket, she threw it to the floor followed by his shirt.
“Whoa, baby, slow down.”
“I don’t want to slow down. It has been too long.” She sank her fingers into his hair and pulled his head down to claim his lips. Sandy was aroused and desperate to feel him sliding inside her. It had been too long since she’d been with a man, and she was going to make up for it now.
Chapter Three
Sandy plundered his mouth with her tongue. Never to be outdone, Cole wrapped his arms around her, holding her tight against him. She was soft, yielding, and perfect. Squeezing her ass he pushed her backwards toward the nearest wall. Hitting the wall, she circled his neck, scoring his back with her nails.
