Donna pressed a finger to his lips. “Shut up and kiss me. I don’t need anything fancy from you. All I need is you.” She leaned up and kissed him, sliding her tongue into his mouth at the same time as she held him close.
He pulled out of her body only to slam back inside her.
She whimpered, breaking from the kiss to moan.
“That’s it, baby. You’re so fucking beautiful,” he said. Come all over my cock. He glided a hand down her body to stroke her clit.
Wrapping her thighs around him, she went to the peak within seconds sliding into oblivion with such ease.
“So perfect,” he said, fucking her harder than ever before. There was no stopping him as he climbed toward his own orgasm. She held him close as he grunted, his cock jerking within her as his seed pumped deep inside her.
When it was over, he didn’t pull away, but he tugged her close holding her tightly.
I can’t believe you love me.
“Not only do I love you, Donna, you’re in here,” he said, pressing her hand to his chest. She felt his heart beating rapidly against his palm.
“I don’t want to know about your other businesses, Caleb. Providing you stay safe and come back to me, I don’t wish to know about anything else,” she said. She’d thought about it long and hard. Donna loved Caleb the man, not the pimp, drug dealer, or whatever the hell he was into.
“Then I won’t tell you about it. I’m not going to hide what I do from you, though.” He took her hand within his, and she gave him a squeeze.
“Okay,” she said, snuggling in against him. Running her fingers over his chest, she smiled.
He may not be all that perfect, but he was perfect enough for her. Even men with dubious lifestyles deserved to be happy.
Epilogue
Five months later
“She’s the one then?” Henry asked, coming to stand beside him. Caleb glanced at his friend before returning his gaze to the woman standing beside Lydia. Donna’s rounded bump stuck out from the dress. She was six months pregnant, and for once in his life something was actually going right.
“Yes, she’s the one. The only one.” He’d not even looked at another woman since he’d laid claim to her. Caleb attended every appointment at the doctor and the hospital. Her care was his main priority.
“Don’t know how you can do it. I’m into fucking everything with a nice warm hole and a willing scream.”
Caleb shook his head. “You’ll find a woman soon. I’m sure of it.”
“With this fucked up face, I doubt it.” Henry took out a cigarette and lit it up.
“I’m not going to talk about this.”
He’d seen the way Lydia and Henry looked at each other when no one else was watching. His friend was into something. Caleb didn’t know what, but he’d bet money it was because of her.
“Whatever, man. I know I’m happy with the woman I’m with.”
“Not going to change who I am for anyone.” Henry saluted him before walking away.
Heading toward his wife, Caleb wrapped his arms around her waist, stroking his son or daughter within her stomach.
“Hey, baby,” he said, kissing her neck. He noticed Lydia tensed at his company. They’d not gotten past him threatening her yet. Maybe in the future it would be different. He liked the fact she was afraid of him.
“Congratulations on this big day,” Lydia said.
“I’m stealing my wife away.” Without waiting for Lydia to say anything he escorted Donna onto the dance floor.
“That was rude,” she said, smirking.
“What? I can never get my wife alone anymore. It’s a curse.” He closed his eyes as he held her against him. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.”
The songs kept on playing, and Caleb didn’t care if it was an upbeat one or a slow one. He was leading his woman into a slow dance of love and life. Resting his head against hers, he breathed her in. “Do you have any regrets?” he asked.
“None, you?”
“No.”
She melted against him. Closing his eyes, Caleb knew he’d do everything in his power to feel this way about his woman.
****
“Leave me the fuck alone,” Lydia said.
Henry smirked, standing on the edge of the dance floor watching his friend dance. “I’m just standing here.”
“You’re a monster.”
Still smiling, he sparked up another cigarette. Lydia was his one problem. Five months ago he’d killed her boyfriend in front of her and threatened to kill her as well if she didn’t keep her mouth shut.
Staring at Caleb, he started to wonder who was the bigger monster between the two of them. Caleb had fallen in love while Henry was in love with his guns and implements of torture.
“Then run away,” he said, glancing at the brunette who kept pissing him off. She was the bane of his existence and had been since she’d begged him to spare Darren. Henry didn’t believe in second chances.
She folded her arms and stood beside him.
“I’m not going anywhere.”
Interesting. Lydia pretended to be scared of him and then stood beside him as if she didn’t have a care in the world.
“Okay, Princess, let’s see how long that bravery lasts.”
Placing his arm along her shoulder, he waited to see what she did.
When nothing came, he was as confused as he was over five months ago. What was it about her?
