  Amber shook her head. “It still seems a little extreme for me.”

  Chapter Four

  Jasper waited outside of his apartment building for Amber’s car to appear. His lip was split. The kid who’d been his opponent today knew how to use everything to his advantage.   “I bet you’ve been offered the big league though.”

  “Why turn it down?” she asked.

  “I don’t have a desire to die. I like fighting, but I don’t want to die. Have you ever been tempted to strip?”

  “Were you a nurse or something?” he asked.

  “Nope, I read a book on first aid. Believe me, when I saw the cost of insurance and medical bills, I figured a few hundred dollars in medical
