  Phoebe rolled her eyes. “You’ve only been in town a day, and you’re already taking my place.”

  He glanced down at his phone, waiting for the call from Tiny. Snitch being alive was the last thing he wanted to deal with. He knew The Skulls had the first of two drugs runs in the coming week.

  Shrugging his shoulders, he pocketed his cell phone.

  “You got lucky with my man, Nick.”

  “Who’s Nick?” Lexie asked, speaking up.

  “Asshole in the front.” Phoebe gave her the answer.

  “Your name’s Nick?”

  “Yeah but I go by Devil. Only annoying bitches call me Nick.”

  “Anything happen on the road?�

  Looking at Lexie, he saw her smile.

  With Phoebe holding Simon, Lexie was able to rest her arms as Devil led her around the building. The agent tried to get his attention talking about the benefits of owning the property.   “I think you should ask your men. They’d know the answer.”
